The city's 2023 estimate is 12,732, 1.3% under the 2020 base, and the Census counts 8,033 housing units on a density of 10,086 residents per square mile. Remote workers drift between home, a cafe and a gym, so searches for nearby places spread across the whole day.
Origins add one more layer: 32.9% of residents were born outside the U.S. against 24.4%, though only 5.8% speak Spanish at home against 20.5%. The count of residents speaking Spanish is small, so language pages are worth building only if your own customers ask. Photographs, clear hours and a short explanation of what the first appointment includes usually matter more than translation here.

Alameda County counts 970 dentists (2.15 times the typical rate), 824 real estate agents (up 40.6%) and 744 residential remodelers (1.52 times typical), county figures rather than Emeryville's own. A business that sells to nearby offices or residents does best with a page naming its street, its response time and who it serves, since a generic page competes with hundreds of others.
