The city's FY2021 financial report, reproduced on Wikipedia, lists Amazon Web Services first with 1,300 employees, 8.97% of city employment. Ravenswood City School District follows with 325, then IKEA with 250, Home Depot with 240, Ravenswood Family Health Center with 231, DLA Piper with 168, Four Seasons Hotel with 89 and Eastside College Preparatory School with 62. Total employment was 14,500, up from 13,800 in 2014. These are one-year counts and landmarks for weekday traffic, not customers.
Where residents themselves work matters as much. Administrative and support services employ 1,666 (10.7%), accommodation and food services 1,655 (10.6%), construction 1,480 (9.5%), retail trade 1,437 (9.2%), other services such as repair and personal care 1,405 (9%) and professional, scientific and technical services 1,352 (8.7%).
